Overview

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune 411004 is an Autonomous Body established under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, conducts the HSC and SSC Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri. The Board conducts examination twice a year.

The 12th standard exam conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or MSBSHSE is popularly known as the Maharashtra HSC Board Exam. The 12th standard is a crucial stage for all students because the marks in these exams will decide the college they will get admitted to. Students should follow the syllabus during their exam preparation.

Syllabus

The Maharashtra State Board Syllabus For Class 12 includes various topics which are designed keeping in mind the international standard of education. The syllabus is also designed in such a way that students can appear for competitive entrance exams such as JEE, NEET etc.

Physics

11th/12th Science Physics is divided in to different sections like Mechanics, Properties of Matter, Sound, Heat, Light, Electrodynamics and Modern Physics.

Chemistry

11th/12th Science Chemistry include Analytical, Physical, Organic and Inorganic chemistry. The subject is divided in to sections like chemistry of elements, heat and thermodynamics, physical chemistry and chemistry of organic compounds.

Maths

11th/12th Science Maths include Matrices, Vectors, Coordinate Geometry, Probability and statistics and calculus.

Biology

11th/12th Science Biology includes Diversity, Cells, Physiology, Reproduction, Biology and human welfare and ecology. The subject is divided into two major sections as botany and zoology.

Theory Exam

Board conduct theory exams in the month of February for regular students. Theory paper for each science subjects is of 70 marks and for Maths it is of 80 Marks.

The paper pattern includes questions like MCQs, Very Short Answer, Long Answer, Numerical and Diagrams. Paper duration is of 3 hours.

Practical Exam

Board conduct practical exam for each subject before or after the theory exams. Each science subject has practical exam of 30 marks and maths has practical exam of 20 marks
